The ‘Without caprice or presumption: Fado according to Júlio Pomar & recent donations’ exhibition celebrates Júlio Pomar’s visual and poetic work relating to the world of Fado, Portuguese guitar, and characters from writing and literature, during the year in which the Atelier-Museu Júlio Pomar joins the museum sites managed by EGEAC.

The exhibition, which is on display simultaneously at the two museums, opens on 28 March at the Museu do Fado and on 29 March at the Atelier-Museu, with curation from the two museum directors respectively, and brings together around 50 paintings, drawings and assemblages, providing an opportunity to reveal the recent donations made by the painter to the collection deposited at the Atelier-Museu Júlio Pomar, which celebrates the 2nd anniversary of its opening to the public in April 2015.
