This booklet was published on the occasion of the artistic residency that Catarina de Oliveira undertook at Residency Unlimited in New York, U.S.A., (01.02 – 30.04.2018), with the support of the Atelier-Museu Júlio Pomar/EGEAC. In continuation of its policy of supporting artistic development and internationalisation, the Atelier-Museu Júlio Pomar/EGEAC, in partnership with Residency Unlimited, NY, annually provides a Portuguese artist with a three-month artistic residence at that New York institution. Together with an independent jury of recognised merit, this year composed of João Silvério, Margarida Mendes and João Marçal (the winner of the previous residency), the Atelier-Museu nominated and chose artist Catarina de Oliveira to be the programme’s third artist-in-residence between February and April 2018.
