This booklet was published on the occasion of the exhibition Chama [Flame], featuring Júlio Pomar, Sara Bichão and Rita Ferreira at the Atelier-Museu Júlio Pomar (15.02 – 29.04.2018). When I invited these two artists, at different points of their careers, to exhibit alongside Júlio Pomar, I took into account a dimension of art that has been neglected, or at least given little prominence; a visceral dimension involved in the production of art associated with the liberation of intuitive energies, sometimes with an eschatological aspect.
