Julião Sarmento O Artista como ele é, Conversas com Sara Antónia Matos e Pedro Faro (The Artist as he is, Conversations with Sara Antónia Matos and Pedro Faro) forms part of the Atelier-Museu’s Cadernos collection and follows up on the interview project the Museu began with ‘Júlio Pomar: O Artista Fala…’ (Júlio Pomar: The Artist Speaks…’, 2014) and which was continued with ‘Rui Chafes: Sob a Pele’ (Rui Chafes: Under the Skin, 2015), which was developed in the context of the exhibition VOID*: Júlio Pomar and Julião Sarmento

The interviews were conducted during the Atelier-Museu’s exhibition programme that brings the painter’s work together with that of invited artists, creating new relationships between the artist’s work and contemporaneity.
