A revisiting of the provocative text ‘Manucure’ by Mário de Sá-Carneiro with a futuristic slant.

‘Manucure’ is based on the dramatic situation which the iconic poem recounts. A character is at a café, moved by his own sense of tenderness, with chaos and madness gradually taking hold: the tension between the inside and the outside, the vocal modulation inspired by the airwaves and the cacophony of transport and industry, the sensuality of the lack of a support, the rhythm of the machine which turns into rap, a coffee cup which becomes a broken being…
