The Education Service at the Atelier-Museu is continuing to put together educational and experimental activities, as well as organising drawing workshops, guided tours and other one-off events for children and adults, this time around the exhibition ‘Skulls, houses, stones and a fig tree’, which grapples with the issue of understanding space, architecture and drawing.

The Atelier-Museu and the Arte Ilimitada school of art have partnered up to host this print workshop for young people.

Following an initial visit to the exhibition at the museum, the attendees drew and engraved their designs on copper plates and milk cartons, drawing upon imagery from the works on display, namely houses, trees, skulls and stones.

In the sessions that followed, a press was set up in the Arte Ilimitada facilities to carry out the process of printing the engravings onto paper and then binding them into a book.

With a view to exploring other dimensions of artistic creation and spatiality, the participants also created a sound piece entitled Pedras (Stones), which is issued this new pack.
